Science Fiction is more than it appears on the surface to those that haven't read sci-fi. This is one of the places folks go with uncommon points of view about life, politiics and religion. There is a lot to learn from the stories told, whether it is the socialist bent of Star Trek or Libertarian bend of Star Wars. I think readers of science fiction tend to be more open minded and diverse conversationalists when not introverted. They tend to be "seekers of truth" and constantly try to think outside of political and religious boxes. |
